1. EligibilityThe Hackathon is open to individuals aged 18 or over who are students, recent graduates, or professionals in marketing or related fields. Participation is free or discounted for learners affiliated with approved YAi partners.
2. Registration & AgreementBy registering for the Hackathon, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and confirm that all information provided is accurate. You must accept these terms via checkbox during the registration process in order to participate.
3. Content SubmissionParticipants are required to submit original content (written, image, and/or video) as part of the Hackathon brief. Submissions must not:
- Infringe on any third-party IP
- Contain offensive, unlawful, or plagiarised material
- Be generated by others or by tools without your input or oversight
4. Intellectual Property Rightsa) OwnershipYou retain ownership of the content you create during the Hackathon.
b) License to YAiBy submitting content, you grant YAi a
non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to:
Use, display, reproduce, distribute, and publish your submitted content (in whole or in part)
Feature your work on our website, social media, presentations, Talent Spotlight Packs, marketing materials, or events
This license includes the right for YAi to use your content for model training and improvement, and share your content with
brand partners and sponsors for talent scouting or marketing use related to the Hackathon.
c) License to Brand PartnersIf you submit content in response to a brand partner’s brief, you also grant that brand a
non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- View, assess, and use your content for internal review
- Feature your work as part of employer branding, recruitment, or co-marketing (with credit)
Any commercial use beyond this scope may be subject to separate agreement between you and the brand.
5. Media ReleaseYou consent to the use of your name, likeness, and voice (if submitted or captured during the Hackathon) in connection with promotional or educational materials related to the event.
6. Judging & PrizesContent will be judged based on clarity, creativity, AI-assisted quality, and alignment with the brief. YAi’s decision is final. Winners will be notified via email and announced publicly.
7. Data ProtectionYour personal data will be handled in accordance with YAi’s [Privacy Policy] and applicable data protection laws. We will only share personal details with brand partners if you’ve opted in during registration.
8. DisqualificationYAi reserves the right to disqualify participants who breach these terms, submit plagiarised or inappropriate content, or act in bad faith.
9. Limitation of LiabilityYAi shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in the Hackathon or use of YAi’s tools and services, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Governing LawThese Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
